Lorraine Cox, Creative Estuary
Lorraine Cox
director
Creative Estuary

Lorraine is an experienced cultural strategist having worked at senior level in local government, and in the voluntary and housing sectors, where she has developed high quality arts and heritage programmes and capital projects, with and for local people.

Lorraine works around the Thames Estuary developing long-term relationships with stakeholders to support growth in the Creative & Cultural Industries (CCIs) sector. There is a particular focus on working with local authority partners to bring underused buildings in town centres into creative and mixed use. This work is guided by the belief that, for the CCIs sector to be successful, they must have sustainable and affordable space for production and presentation.

As a strong advocate for the uniqueness of local places and the central role of creativity in regeneration and community wellbeing, Lorraine is committed to working across a range of sectors to embed good practice and achieve positive outcomes for local people. She lives in East London and volunteers in her local community.
